CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program designed to develop physical competence in each of ten fitness domains: Cardio/Respiratory Endurance, Muscular Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, Accuracy. By performing a wide variety of movements in a variety of intensities, CrossFit athletes develop a broad “functional fitness” that translates to increased performance in a wide variety of tasks, from elite sports to simply being able to lift heavy objects safely around the house.
Each CrossFit class you attend at Sovereign City CrossFit will be led and coached by one of our qualified CrossFit Coaches. As a Coach this doesn’t just mean they will read off a template and start the timer. Instead they will start each class accounting for who is attending to allow for injuries or substitutions, run through a general and specific warmup, take the time to coach each individual through strength/skill work and a workout. The Coach will work with each individual on their needs and abilities whilst still keeping the group in time and moving forward through the hour class. You get the advantage of the group class and community feeling with the individual focus from the coach working with you to improve each session!
